FAQ
DO WE ACCEPT RETURNS?
Important point folks: we can’t accept returns on underwear due to hygiene reasons, so it’s super important that you get the sizing right. Before any purchase, check out our size guide, and make sure you’ve got the correct ones selected. We appreciate your understanding!
DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS?
Because we’re a boutique enterprise, we don’t do sales like fast fashion brands. But when you select more than 3 pairs in the shop, you’ll start to notice the price per unit dropping down. Buy 5 and over, and you’ll save even more. (Buy 3 = Save 5%; Buy 5 = Save 15%).
HOW DO I CARE FOR MY SOAP UNDERWEAR?
To get the most out of your underwear we recommend a delicate wash at no more than 40 degrees Celsius. This should help your underwear retain shape and last for the long haul.
HOW DOES SHIPPING WORK?
SOAP ships to many international destinations. There are no additional import duties for orders made in the EU. For orders outside the EU, please check any additional import duties before purchasing (we don’t currently cover these). Check out more at our shipping page here.
WHERE IS SOAP UNDERWEAR MADE?
We produce all our underwear in an OEKO-TEX®-certified factory in Portugal, where industry standards for labor, safety, and ethical manufacturing are strictly upheld.
WHAT IS THE BETTER BAND?
SOAP’s Better Band is durable, luxurious, comfortable for all body types, and doesn't crease with wear. With the Better Band you'll always feel amazing and look great. Other brands often make underwear with a jacquard elastic waistband, a cheaper option that bends and creases with each wash, losing shape and comfort over time. Paired with our tag-free bamboo fabric blend, The Better Band keeps great shape without digging in.
WHAT IS OEKO-TEX?
We use only OEKO-TEX® Standard 100-certified fabrics, ensuring every material we source is independently verified as free from harmful substances. Established in Switzerland in 1992, OEKO-TEX® is a globally recognized certification that guarantees fabrics are safe for both people and the environment – screened for toxic chemicals like allergy-inducing dyes, synthetic softeners, formaldehyde, and heavy metals like nickel.
Many brands cut costs by using cheaper, chemically treated materials – at the expense of workers, consumers, and the planet. We believe ethical production shouldn’t be a luxury; it should be the standard.
WHY BAMBOO?
Bamboo fabric is nature’s upgrade to cotton – softer, smoother, and more breathable. It wicks moisture, regulates temperature, and feels super comfortable on your skin. Plus, it’s naturally antibacterial and sustainable. Good for you, good for the planet. Read more here.
WHAT IS SLOW FASHION?
In a fast-paced world driven by profit, major brands often cut corners in production and labor, sacrificing quality, fairness, and worker safety. Factories in developing countries – sometimes employing underage workers—offer low wages, poor conditions, and no fundamental rights. Meanwhile, mass production relies on chemically treated fabrics, posing risks to both the environment and human health.
While no system is perfect, slow fashion strives to change this narrative. It prioritizes fair wages, ethical working conditions, and the use of non-toxic, environmentally responsible materials.
That’s why SOAP partners with a trusted, accredited factory in Portugal, where workers are paid fairly and treated with respect. Every product is crafted with high-quality, OEKO-TEX® Standard 100-certified fabrics, ensuring a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable choice – for you, for the planet, and for the people who make them.
