THE SOAP GUIDE TO BCN – WHAT’S UNDERNEATH: BARCELONA CIUTAT VELLA

Folks, a new season is upon us. As a way of further celebrating SOAP’s debut product launch a few months ago, we’re entering Autumn/Fall in Barcelona with a brand new product (not the women’s line just yet – that’s on its way for 2026).

We’ve got a special surprise that we’ve been working on in the background these past weeks, designed to help you appreciate and learn more about the incredible city that SOAP lives and works in: beautiful Barcelona.

Our debut SOAP City Guide to BCN is our own unique lens on this remarkable place, showcasing all the sights, points of interest, and businesses that we love and frequent on a daily basis, including the best coffee spots, the best places to eat and drink, some hidden historical gems, and the best hotels to stay in.

In this first guide, we cover Barcelona’s Old Quarters: the CIUTAT VELLA, the labyrinthine alleys and lanes, old Roman nooks, and gritty, bustling spots that make Barcelona the energetic, dazzling hub that it is.

This 100+ page guide will soon be available through our SOAP shop – the first of five city guides, with other major districts: Eixample, Sants/Montjuic, Sant Marti, and Gracia to follow in good time (collect the whole set!). For now, we kick things off with the inner neighborhoods – El Born, Barri Gotic, El Raval, and beachside Barceloneta.

Putting this guide together has been a labour of love, deliciousness and, in the words of Nile Rogers’ Chic: good times. We’ve aimed to do the city and all its incredible sights, sounds, smells, and experiences justice, while also etching each listing into a corresponding SOAP BCN Google Map, so you can create your very own walking tours and experiences with a roving reference point on the go.

The next time you’re in town, flick open the SOAP Guide to BCN, get worded up on what’s good – and What’s Underneath – and have an awesome time in this glorious part of the world.
